composition

1.)  simplicity
the frame is filled and its focused on one thing
2.) leading lines
the key board was horizontal = clam & tranquil

3.) bull eye
i took a picture at eye level composition

4.) height and distance
tall buildings in New York

5.) rule of thirds
was taking on the main points interesting composition

                                                        6.) brightness and sharpness
                                                        good lighting and good focus
7.) emphasize foreground
focus more on the ground upper half of the frame

The picture i believe is the best shot is the shoe picture because it has a good lighting and its at a good angle. The weakest picture can be improved tin the future by getting better angle and better lighting.I use the Photoshop to edit my pictures the tools in the program that brightness/contrast & levels . i was able to meet the objective by getting all my ideas and putting it together taking pictures.the easiest thing about this assignment was the editing part because is wasn't stressful or anything and you could see all the different things you can do with the picture . The difficult thing about this assignment was trying to be creative and different . If i could do this assignment again i would work on taking better pictures . On a scale 1-10 i would scale myself a 8.5 because the pictures has good lighting and well out together with the edit and everything else but i could of did better .

  1. Explain your labels. How does each picture meet the label you chose for it?

  2. Image 1- This is not simplicity. There are many distracting elements and you have dead space at the top. The image does have good color and contrast though.

Image 2-This is leading lines but your explanation is a little off. Those lines are going vertical not horizontal. You image has great focus, color, and contrast.

Image 3-This is avoiding bull's eye but again your explaination is wrong. You want to AVOID eye level composition. Make sure you are reading correctly. Again, good color/contrast.

Image 4- Correct label but why is it height and distance? Hint: Where is the horizon? Image is blurry and out of focus. Color is dull.

Image 5- Correct label and explanation. Image is very dark and unedited. Check the levels in photoshop. Try lighting your subject with a lamp.

Image 6- Correct label and explanation. Excellent lighting and focus. Excellent composition! Shoot all your pictures at this quality. This is your best shot of the shoot.

Image 7-Label is correct. Explanation is confusing. You said the focus is on the ground and then put "upper half of frame." What about the upper half of frame? Image has good color and focus.

  3. You are missing 1 point - "Multiple subjects"

  4. I like the picture of the shoe in black and white, the angle that you took the picture from was good but i think that the top of the first shoe should have been showing.
